Clean room with the usual accommodation provided. Breakfast was okay, with plenty of choices mixing local and American-style dishes.

The room was very small, the location wasn’t good, and it didn’t feel like a four star property. Breakfast options were extremely limited, and they didn’t even have black tea. NOT RECOMMENDED.

The rooms were clean and the food was good. We had a great time.

The hotel is handy for getting around, with food, cafes, and restaurants all within walking distance. People nearby were friendly, humble, and honest, and tried to help tourists even when there was a language barrier or confusion about calculating money in their currency. Cafe Hoa Dat, right across from the hotel, is a coffee shop/bistro. I recommend trying their coffee or tea if you’re a coffee lover. It was my first time here. The room felt pretty ordinary, and we were given the wrong bed setup instead of a queen size bed. Bathroom issues can happen too, so check the room closely before confirming your stay. Otherwise you may need a plumber, and dealing with the language barrier could be difficult. We were lucky to have a local translator.

The team gets a 9 from me, but the hotel itself gets a 6 out of 10. By European standards, I’d call it three stars at best. The staff were professional and friendly, the reception was bright and cool, and the third-floor indoor courtyard was a lovely quiet spot early in the morning. The cafe south of the building also has a shaded outdoor seating area a few metres from the street. The rooms were passable. We were there for 16 nights as part of a Vietnam trip that included a university event for my son. Half his teammates stayed here too. I was asked about food requirements at check-in and said I was vegetarian, but breakfast was disappointing. After several days of the same meat-focused buffet and stale bread, I gave up and just had juice and coffee before eating elsewhere. I traveled with a wheelchair user. The elevator and room doors were very narrow, with only about 1 cm clearance on each side, so be careful of your knuckles if you aren’t the one pushing. Like most places I’ve stayed in Vietnam, this hotel falls short of European and American standards for disability access. Getting around Vietnam in a wheelchair was awful too: motorbikes, cafe stools, and shopfronts block pavements, forcing you onto roads where drivers don’t care and zebra crossings seem to be only a suggestion. The first weekend, there was a fireworks display over the Han River. Since we couldn’t walk or get a taxi to the site, the staff let us watch from the roof, which we really appreciated. There’s a pool, plus a steam room and a separate sauna, but both facilities were out of order. The hotel had 16 days to fix them, so I assume they’d been unusable for a long time. The ground-floor pool is shallow, cold, and little used, with street access and shade. The rest of our group was at G8 luxury elsewhere in Danang, with a pool on the 19th floor and a city view. We’ve visited this part of the world several times, and it was the first time we didn’t have a private pool available. In this stifling heat, I missed it terribly. The open roof space on floor 6 feels like wasted potential. It has tables and chairs, and a pool up there might have worked well.
