May Hotel was the worst place I’ve stayed in Da Nang, and it felt completely unfit for purpose. The rooms were filthy, with mould and pillows that smelled damp and mouldy. The air conditioning didn’t work, there were no basic bathroom supplies, and not even a hairdryer. Staff were absent most of the time, and the property felt unsecured. Strangers came and went behind the front desk, opening drawers while nobody was there. It felt unsafe, unprofessional, and very rude when they said they didn’t care about cleaning the rooms. There was no room service, yet prices were much higher than other good Da Nang hotels with far better quality and service. The basic amenities you expect from a hotel weren’t there. I strongly wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The girl staff member with the boyish personality was rude. Bike rental was advertised at 100k, but I had to pay 120k. I didn’t complain because I didn’t want to spoil my trip, then they tried to charge me another 100k. The service was very, very poor. 0/10.

For a few days in Da Nang, this beachfront hotel was a fine option. It was reasonably priced, the rooms were tidy and clean, and we had a nice sea view. Staff were friendly, and it was easy to find food and get around from there.

Go somewhere else and save yourself the wasted time and 30k VND. When I got there, they said there were no rooms, even though they apparently keep taking bookings. They told me to contact the booking company to cancel because it was handled externally to Booking.com. I pushed for a cash refund, but it took a while, and I still lost 30k VND. The man there was rude, didn't apologize, and made it feel like the problem was my fault. He didn't try to help. Luckily, a woman came over, was much more polite, and returned my money. I wish I'd checked Google reviews first, since recent ones were already warning about this. Definitely avoid booking here.
