Sala Danang Beach Hotel

The hotel had a great evening atmosphere. In front, to the left when facing the street, there’s a seating area that looks a bit like a bar. We’d order drinks from the hotel or buy beers across the street, then sit under the hanging lights, listen to the speakers, and enjoy the Vietnam evening vibe. We loved ending the day there. The breakfast spread was huge, and the pool had a lovely ocean view and a bar for drinks, though much of it was shaded by trees. There’s also a sushi restaurant on the top floor with excellent sushi and a beautiful city view. Hotel guests get a coupon for a free maki roll, a nice extra with what we ordered. Our ocean-view suite was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had a gorgeous view. We stayed five days and four nights and were very pleased. The location made the beach easy to reach, and we could walk to nearby shops and food. Night markets and downtown were a quick Grab ride away. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They arranged a private car and tickets to Ba Na Hills at a reasonable rate, then an eight-hour private car to Lady Buddha and Hoi An, also at a reasonable price. The drivers were on time, and staff let us know when it was time to go. Whenever we waited downstairs for a ride or just had a few minutes, someone would notice and bring us tea. Such a kind touch.

The rooftop is the star here, a garden oasis with panoramic views of both the city and sea, plus an infinity pool. The hotel is right on My Khe beach, and for us the stay was worth every bit of the cost. Breakfast was an unreal spread, and the rooms were cleaned impeccably, even mopped daily. We also had a lovely meal at the new Japanese restaurant, which had opened about three months earlier. They gave us a small bottle of Sake at the end after a bit of a wait. We had a partial sea view on the 9th floor, but after our first night of four, we found it a little loud because it was close to street level. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault, people in Vietnam start their days super early. The staff were kind and accommodating about moving us to a higher floor so we could sleep in a bit. The rooms were as advertised. Every review is true!

The rooftop pool was excellent, and there was Japanese food upstairs at reasonable prices. I also liked the huge, nicely decorated lounge, where they served green tea whenever you sat down. Piano music in the background made it feel calm and elegant. Breakfast was included, with plenty to pick from, from continental and oriental food to other options. My room was spacious, and the bathroom and toilet were very clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly throughout my week-long stay at Sala Da Nang Beach Hotel at the end of January. It’s conveniently located for exploring Da Nang. I had a comfortable, enjoyable stay with good service and value, and would recommend it.

Ms Chloe Huyen deserves a big thank you for all her help and arrangements, even sorting out the paper boxes. Ms Tien and the rest of the staff were also so warm and made our family trip feel special. We found the hotel very convenient for the beach and major attractions. The deluxe ocean-view room had a fantastic view and was incredibly comfortable. Breakfast had a huge choice of delicious food.
