Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa

We had a lovely time at this beautiful resort. The facilities, atmosphere, and friendly staff made it a place we’d gladly return to. My one suggestion is to add streaming options such as Netflix or Prime Video to the room TVs, which would make downtime after a long day more enjoyable. Otherwise, everything was excellent and I’d highly recommend it.

The room felt bare and impersonal, with no welcome note or small thoughtful touch, and not even cold water despite the fairly high deposit at check-in. There were also several maintenance issues: the toilet spray didn’t work properly, the shower pressure was very weak, and the shower head seemed damaged. For this price and category, it didn’t feel like the experience expected of a 5-star Sheraton. We booked a pool-view room on a higher floor, but it felt closer to an average 3-star hotel than an international luxury standard. Maybe the suites or higher categories are much better, though the many glowing reviews are hard for us to understand after this stay. We chose the hotel for its pool, beach atmosphere, and the idea of a relaxing family weekend. Before booking, we specifically called to ask if any events were planned and were told no. Right after check-in, though, we were told there would be a large wedding with stage equipment, music, and possible noise. That was a real disappointment. Check-in itself was quick and friendly, but the way Marriott/American Express Platinum benefits were handled was unusual for an international 5-star hotel. At Marriott properties around the world, staff usually at least check whether a small upgrade or late check-out is available. Here, everything was rejected right away without asking anyone or checking availability. Even if nothing was possible, they could have handled it more professionally and warmly. The property has a lot of potential, but clearly needs serious improvement.

I realized at the airport that I’d left my gold bracelet behind at Sheraton Grand Da Nang. I called the guest service center, and Mr. Khanh and Mr. Bao helped right away, patiently and with care. One of them stayed on the phone, kept me calm, arranged a Grab promptly, and coordinated smoothly with the delivery person. A slight flight delay meant I received the bracelet safely at the airport. I’m very grateful for the kindness, honesty, and dedication, and thankful to the whole Sheraton team for such trustworthy service. Highly appreciated and recommended. 💙✨

We spent a day here on a family daypass. There’s lots of room and it’s a very nice place. The food tasted good, though it was pricey, as you’d expect at a hotel. Binh, one of the pool guards, was especially kind and made the visit more enjoyable. The pool needs attention, though. Quite a few tiles are missing and lying on the floor, so you could cut your toes if you’re not careful. Hopefully they’ll fix it soon.
