The Rose Hotel

It was okay.

Good.

The room was awful. They hadn’t even taken the old rubbish out of the bin, and everything looked like it had been abandoned for decades. It was so loud outside that I could barely sleep, and I could hear everything going on.

The rating on Google Maps is almost four stars, but I’d never stay here again. I booked one single and one double room, and neither looked like the pictures. Both felt old, dark, and stuffy, and the single room smelled bad. There was hot and cold water listed, but no hot water in the bathroom. Wi-Fi was shared across the floor, so I ended up buying my own 4G plan. The doors were rickety, the rooms weren’t cleaned the next day even though this is a three-star hotel, and the soundproofing was so poor I couldn’t sleep. There was no hand soap, the fan didn’t work, and the air conditioner couldn’t be adjusted. When I asked the receptionist to wipe up water leaking from the refrigerator, he yelled at me while doing it. It was the worst hotel stay I’ve had, more like a guesthouse than a hotel.
