Titan Hotel

I’m still recovering from my stay here, which lasted about two weeks and left me with serious health problems. There was a strong damp, moldy smell in the room from the start. The hotel is old, with dark rooms, small windows, and poor ventilation. Later I saw mold-like stains, including around the ventilation areas. After a few days, I got worse quickly: a high fever, blocked nose, severe sore throat, persistent heavy coughing, trouble sleeping, and watery eyes. I felt much better outside the hotel, but the symptoms came right back whenever I returned to the room, and my condition worsened day by day. After I moved to another hotel or apartment, I improved quickly, which made it clear to me that the hotel environment was the cause. I told reception several times about the smell and my health, but was repeatedly told “tomorrow, tomorrow,” and nothing was done. On my last day, I went back to ask for a solution and the receptionist ignored me, acting as if she couldn’t hear me while I stood right in front of her. There were other problems too. Housekeeping knocked and entered loudly around 9 AM, with no regard for privacy. The shower drain didn’t work and the bathroom flooded several times. Chemical sprays were used every day during cleaning, masking the damp smell and making it harder for me to breathe. I strongly do NOT recommend this hotel, especially if you care about your health, air quality, and being treated respectfully. The staff showed a complete lack of responsibility and response.

I’ve travelled for years and never complained before, but this was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The furniture was very old, the room smelled, and there were little spiders on my sheets. Worse than that, a loud noise from what might have been a chiller went on day and night. There was no buffet, just two food options. Sorry, but in my case I think the agency I booked through is to blame.

I stayed for a month. The beds and sheets were good, and the price was good for the quality. Staff were good too, and because I was staying more than seven days, they met me at the airport for free. There’s underground parking for motos. The everyday cleaning was poor and sometimes started very early, around 9 AM. Internet was weak and sometimes a serious problem. Since I work remotely, that’s why I decided to stop staying there after a month.

The price is good, and the staff are very friendly. I couldn’t stay for my whole booking because I have allergies and the strong perfumes used on the sheets, towels, and in the cleaning products bothered me. There aren’t many restaurants close by either, so I walked about a kilometre to reach an area with lots of them. I don’t mind walking, though, so that wasn’t a big issue for me.
