The location is the best part, near the night market and nightlife, and I’d stay here again. My room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was ample. I don’t understand the fuss and low reviews about the dim lobby. The low lighting makes it cooler, though I suppose some people will always be fussy.

The location is great, right in the lively, beautiful heart of the ancient city, but our stay still felt unsettling. We were two girls travelling together, and arriving to a completely dark lobby with no lights on felt strange and uncomfortable. Each evening, the lobby and nearby areas were dark again, which gave the place an unwelcoming, unsafe feel. The first room had a leaking AC, and staff changed it quickly. In the next room, the TV remote didn’t work and the phone was out of service. We were told it would be fixed the following day, but we were out, so nothing really happened. That was still fine since we were mostly outside. There was no iron in the room, and using one cost extra. Maybe that’s common in Vietnam, but we stayed at several hotels and Airbnbs there and hadn’t experienced it. The bathroom sink was oddly outside the bathroom, and water splashed onto the bed when we used it. Breakfast was disappointing and below average. We only ate it once. The front office staff were consistently rude, while housekeeping were more polite and professional. Bin was the only staff member who was genuinely kind and helpful. Service from everyone else was shocking. When we asked for a fork in our room, we were told to go downstairs and get it ourselves from the restaurant. I don’t usually review hotels, especially with my hospitality background and understanding that customer service is difficult work. Still, I wanted to share this so others know what booking here was like. Even if other things go wrong, a warm smile and basic courtesy matter. Sadly, those were missing, and I can’t recommend this property.

It was a quiet spot just outside the hustle and bustle, even though the hotel is close to the ancient old quarter and only a few blocks from the night market. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, with firm but comfortable beds, and breakfast was good quality. There’s a beautiful open entry downstairs and a very nice large pool. Laundry is available for 40,000 dong/kg. I’d strongly recommend staying here.

The location is close to the tourist streets, but the roads flood easily, and it’s hard to book a Grab cab after 7pm. The shower head needs fixing to get the pressurised spray effect, though that wasn’t a big issue. Staff didn’t speak English, and on our third day the male supervisor was very rude over the phone. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you have no other choices.

The main advantage is the location, close to the centre but away from the most crowded area. The hotel was average overall. The rooms were nice, fairly spacious, and well furnished, but the toilet, sink, and shower setup wasn’t to my liking. They’re divided from the room by translucent glass, so there isn’t much privacy when showering or using the toilet. Our street-facing room was a bit noisy, and the soundproofing could be better. A nearby rooster woke us at 4:00 A.M. on both nights, which was really annoying. The staff weren’t especially kind, and the breakfast buffet was average.
