We came back to Vinh Hung Riverside Resort after staying here last year and loving it, so choosing it again was easy. It’s on the Hoi An island, only metres from the attractions, yet feels like a peaceful oasis away from the revelry a few streets over. The rooms are tasteful and practical, and the restaurant and breakfast buffet have a huge range of food to suit any palate. The staff are the highlight. They’re professional and efficient as well as incredibly friendly, from Reception and Housekeeping to Security, Gardeners, and F&B. You quickly feel like part of a community, not just a guest. The river view from the pools is amazing, and the hotel and rooms were spotless and impressive. Ms Phuong gave us very attentive service and made us feel welcome. Every day from 4 pm to 5pm there’s a free buffet of freshly cooked vietnamese food on the grass area, followed by a free river boat cruise at 5pm each evening. The hotel has everything you could ask for and is close to everything. 5 star

Of the three hotels I stayed at on my recent Vietnam trip, Vinh Hung was the most affordable and my favourite. I loved the whole feel of the place, from the pool and gardens to all the tropical plants and the afternoon food tasting.

The resort facilities were top notch, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. Everywhere looked fresh and tidy, which made it hard to imagine how high the flood waters had been. During my three nights in Hoi An, the restaurant manager greeted me by name every day. That’s a memory I won’t soon forget.

The grounds are beautiful, and staying by the river is so peaceful. We’re still close to the old town, night market, and plenty of nearby cafes. The spacious rooms and thoughtful staff make you feel at home. It’s tranquil, like a huge warm hug.
