The rooms were very comfortable, the facilities good, and the hotel itself lovely. The food and service let it down badly. The rooftop restaurant was shut, so dinner was served in the breakfast room. We only found out there was no pasta or beer when we tried to order. For a 4* hotel, that’s surprising. They said apologetically that the beer had been ordered from Hanoi three days earlier, but it would make more sense to order before running out. Our first round of cocktails took 30 minutes, and the waiter, who may have been the restaurant manager, forgot our second order, so we waited even longer. A hotel at this level shouldn’t be serving frozen pizza and fries. The steak was listed as rib eye, though unless Vietnamese cuts are named differently, it wasn’t rib eye. It was also the toughest steak I’ve had in years. Very poor.

The room made sleeping miserable. I was on the 15th floor, and it felt stuffy, but the AC made a grinding, rocks-in-gears noise along with a high-pitched whine, so I had to switch it off. The pillows were like heavy sandbags, and I ended up sweating through the night with my jacket for a pillow. The hotel is beautiful and brand new, with stunning views, and the staff tried hard to provide impeccable service, even if they didn’t always manage it. It looked so promising, but I was thoroughly disappointed and wouldn’t stay here again.

We left our luggage here for four days while we did the Ha Giang loop, then picked it up afterwards. My wife and I stayed one night before setting off by motorbike, and this was one of our best places in two weeks traveling around Vietnam. The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff helpful, and the buffet breakfast was great. Really good value, with nothing to complain about. Highly recommend.

After riding motorcycles all day, we wanted somewhere comfortable to relax in the evenings, so we booked the family suite. The price was fair, breakfast decent, and the sauna and gym were nice. The desk managers were very accommodating and helped us order food and sort out other things. Probably the best hotel in Ha Giang. 100% recommend.

Everything felt clean, new, and sparkling, and I liked the stylish decor and powerful shower. The service was nice, but food, drinks, laundry, and spa treatment were disappointing for the prices. We ordered three drinks at the rooftop bar. The $250k Margarita was disgustingly strong in a bad way and nowhere close to a margarita. The $180k specialty cocktail was the best of the three, beer included. For dinner we had carbonara (~$240k), a well done burger (~$350k), and papaya salad. The pasta was watery, the burger arrived medium rare, and the salad was decent. I told the waiter about the burger, but nothing was done. Breakfast was average at best. Laundry prices were ridiculous, so we got a local laundromat to pick up and deliver for $40k a kilo. The hotel spa was also 2x - 3x the price of the spa next door. In our group, two went to the hotel spa and two went next door, and the neighboring place was the clear winner.
