Halong Fancy Hostel

I hadn't even stayed at the hostel. A friend said the food was good, so I came by to eat, and ended up having the best evening of my Vietnam trip. The owner was incredible, the other guests were great, and the food was really nice too.

We booked three nights at first, but stayed for six because friendly travelers kept stopping here for a rest on their journeys. I'll really miss this place, and Andrew too. From the start, the staff made me feel welcome with warm smiles, a quick check-in, and sincere hospitality. Andrew deserves a special mention. He went out of his way for us every day, and he's great craic. We spent many evenings chatting over good beers. I'd highly recommend the hotel. Cảm ơn bạn.

The affordable food was delicious, and I especially recommend the beef burger. The room, including the bathroom, was super clean and got cleaned every day. I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The owner, Andry, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming from the beginning. Andry took us on a day trip, checked that we were doing well, and brought us to a great local restaurant. It was a wonderful stay, more than I could've asked for, and I'd recommend this hostel to anyone.

Even with hardly anyone staying when I arrived on a monday, I had an amazing time with Andrew. He speaks perfect English and likes Cantonese songs, which was a fun bonus. The owners, Lola and Andrew, were both really helpful. They booked my Ha Long Bay cruise and gave me all the information I needed. They drove me to the port, and Andrew even stopped at a convenience store so I could pick up necessities for the cruise. The hospitality was unreal, and it was the best service I experienced in Vietnam. The dorm room was very spacious. The location is handy too, with plenty of ATMs around, Sunworld Ha Long across the street, and lots of shops and restaurants just a street away.
