It’s near Sun World, and the service is kind. The rooms are cozy and spacious, and stay cool enough compared with the outdoors. The place is on a hill, so walking up can be a bit challenging. The stair railings are high enough for kids. It’s affordable and worth the price.

A good, affordable hotel. The woman who runs it is friendly and helpful, and speaks English. She’ll even lend you a bicycle for a day at no charge. Breakfast is nice and costs 45k.

It’s a friendly, family-run place with a good English-speaking owner. The rooms are good and offer solid value for the area. Being uphill from most tourist spots makes it easier to explore the local market and eateries. The main tourist area on the Ha Long land side is a short walk downhill, and the main bay tourist area is about a 20 minute ride away.

The room was bright, large, and very clean, with lots of places to eat nearby. The hotel owner was very helpful in arranging a Ha Long Bay tour for the next day. It was easy to join from here, much better than traveling from Hanoi for the tour.

The hotel’s owner is kind and generous, and speaks English well. There’s no elevator, so getting to a fourth or fifth floor room could be a bit difficult. Apart from that, it’s good for what I paid.
