Sao Mai is a reasonably priced local guesthouse in a good spot, with good parking. The room was basic, but nice and clean, and the bathroom setup was a little odd but workable. A good place to rest for the night.

The owner was kind, polite, and soft-spoken, yet treated me rudely and with hostility throughout my stay. I felt they hated foreigners and didn't hide their disdain. If you're not from Vietnam, don't stay here.

For the price, this place is hard to fault: comfy bed, good AC, and a bathroom with working hot water. It's in a quiet area, a bit out of town, so having transport helps. The staff also helped me book a ferry to Phu Quoc and take my bike along.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and we'll definitely come back. The guesthouse was very clean, with AC, a fan, and hot water all working well. It was quiet at night, there were no mosquitos, and the mattress was good.

The place was super clean and nice, and the staff were great. The shower was weak and cold, but whatever. Food is hard to find nearby; there is a grocery store down the road, with locals selling snacks and fruit, and the front desk can provide a water boiler if you ask.
