Cat Ba Xanh Spring Garden Hotel

Emma was especially supportive, spoke English well, and made arranging our tours much easier. The staff were helpful throughout. We enjoyed the lovely view from the sixth-floor restaurant, and our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hotel sits on a hill road, about 15-20 minutes from the city center. Walking there takes roughly 15 minutes along an uphill road, or you can take a taxi or buggy. Paying by credit card adds an 11% charge. We had a good stay.

The receptionist was kind enough to let me check in an hour early. She took time to explain things to do on the island, even while her own food was getting cold. You can tell she cares about her work and guests. My room was comfortable, tidy, and very clean, and the view was better than I expected. I had a really pleasant stay and highly recommend the place.

Emma made a huge difference to my stay. She had everything ready and explained all the details clearly. I also got to have her as my guide on the national park trails. She arranged the electric bus for that day tour and my return bus to hanoi. The rooms were super clean, the lobby wifi was good, and the rooftop was a nice spot to relax. I had a wonderful time and want to come back soon. Couldn't be happier with the staff.

The customer service was amazing, easily five-star: staff arranged a taxi from the ferry, booked a cruise and hotel pickup, rented us a scooter, and sorted out our travel to Hanoi. Thanks so much for all the help. The rooms weren't as nice as the photos, though, and breakfast was pretty bad and simple. For me that brings the hotel to three stars, while the service deserves five.
