Ecorest Villa

The villa was lovely, with all its plants and the stairs up to the rooms, and our room had a beautiful sunset view. Since it was low season and there was a typhoon during our stay, they weren’t fully booked and gave us a free upgrade. The two of us got three bedrooms with huge beds, and could even have changed rooms for free during our stay. From arrival, the staff made us feel like family and helped with everything, from arranging motorbikes delivered to the hotel to booking a taxi. They even offered us a free island tour. We had dinner with them twice, with delicious local food, drinks, dancing, karaoke, and lots of fun. When we tried to tip them at checkout for the great service and meals, they wouldn’t take it and insisted on giving us a discount instead. Our host made our time on Cat Ba Island so memorable.

The hotel was only a five-minute walk from the beach, and the service was really good. They gave us lots of recommendations and arranged scooters for us to rent, which was a highlight of the trip. When we arrived, they upgraded us to an amazing VIP room. On our first night, they treated us to dinner and drinks on the house. The food was made with love and tasted incredible. Worth every penny.

The rooms were tidy and clean, with a comfy bed, and the dogs were adorable and so affectionate. Annie and the team were lovely hosts who made us feel at home right away and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. The location was good too, away from the main strip but close enough to get to everything. I’d definitely come back if I’m in the area again.

The staff made us feel cared for from the minute we arrived. They were warm, kind, and attentive, almost like family, and kept checking whether we liked the room and had everything we needed. They surprised me with a birthday cake arranged at very short notice after my friends mentioned it. Such a thoughtful gesture. We got a free room upgrade and complimentary rides into town. The room was huge, spotless, and beautifully set up, with two bathrooms, a TV, and very comfortable beds. It was cleaned daily and came with fresh towels every day. Breakfast was good, with à-la-carte choices and fresh fruit. We also booked a boat tour through the hotel, and it was fantastic. Ecorest Villa is a place where you feel welcomed and treated generously. The city center is nearby, about 3 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot. I can honestly recommend it to anyone coming to Cát Bà.
