We were visiting Vietnam on a family trip and booked one room for two guests for one night because there was no option to store our baggage for just four hours before going to the shopping mall. The staff then told me I had to pay another 100,000 VND because there were five of us. I explained that we weren’t staying and only wanted to leave our bags for four hours, but he said the rules didn’t allow it. He also said I’d have to pay the cancellation fee if I didn’t agree. I paid extra, but still don’t understand it. I’ve read the response, but the situation still hasn’t been understood. Before checking in, I explained that only two men would enter the room to collect the baggage, and we planned to store our things there for four hours. Since we had to pay more anyway, we changed plans, stayed longer than four hours, and all five of us went into the room because we’d paid for five people for one night. If I hadn’t paid extra, only two people would have entered, and we would have stored just the baggage for four hours. Even though we paid for one night, we stayed less than five hours. Why wasn’t that mentioned? If I’d planned to stay overnight, of course I would have booked for five people. This was a completely different situation.
