The bathroom clearly hadn’t been cleaned, which was disgusting. The room itself was nice and a decent size for me traveling solo, despite reviews calling it small. I’d have rated the room higher if the bathroom had been clean. Also, bottled water in the room costs extra, which surprised me after staying in countless hotels across 4 countries where it was complimentary. Light sleepers should know there’s a newborn baby here, and it gets incredibly noisy very early. I didn’t sleep well because of it.

I rented the same motorbike from Halidao twice. It was pretty worn, a little above average in price, and had loose breaks and no mirrors, though it worked alright. The owner seemed nice, but both times the fuel had been drained for personal use before I got the bike. The dashboard needle was even below empty. I’d left some fuel after the first rental, but it had been drained again the next time. That struck me as a bit greedy, though I’m not going to judge. I didn’t like it.

The managers were friendly, but charged for every little allowance, even leaving our bags after checkout. We planned to stay 2 nights and left after one, but didn’t get a full refund for the second night, despite them marking us as a no show on booking.com. The listed facilities were also misleading, as there was no cooking or eating area available. The bathroom was cramped, and I cut myself on a sharp edge while showering. The room was small, and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. There are better places for the price. I can’t recommend staying here after this experience.

The location stood out, and the balcony was a nice extra. Our room was clean and nicely decorated, and the owners were really kind and welcoming. Choosing this place was definitely the right call!
