The hostess, Pham, was the best part of our three nights here. She was so kind and accommodating, always going out of her way to make us feel at home and meet our needs. We were a couple, and found the hotel new, with a very clean, spacious room and a super comfortable bed. Breakfast came with hearty, healthy and delicious Vietnamese dishes and fruit. It's in a lovely, quiet area about 15-20 minutes on foot from the town center. If you're after a comfortable, quieter stay in Cat Ba, Latricia would be a great choice.

The hosts were fantastic and really friendly, and this was easily the best place we booked. We stayed three nights. The rooms were spotless and had a huge TV for evenings. They also offer laundry, breakfast and bike rental. It's in a residential area, but that didn't bother us. Walking into town takes half an hour, or it's a 10 minute taxi ride. Couldn't recommend it more.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a very clean, comfortable place, and the staff were always around and happy to help with whatever we needed at the hotel or on the island. They were also very accommodating, with breakfast and laundry services available.

The owner was super friendly, she's the best! The rooms feel like luxury suites, with everything you need, and they're brand new and really comfortable. It's a quiet spot, so I slept like I do at home. The other buildings nearby are still empty. The center is a 20 minute walk away, which I didn't mind.

After 20 years traveling around VN and 30 around the world, this is probably the best value little hotel I've stayed in. The room I booked as a solo traveler had space for two, was very clean and new, and everything worked. No bugs, a very comfortable bed and pillows, and there's an elevator. The staff on site were nice and accommodating, and it was quiet both inside and out, which is hard to find in Vietnam. LOL. It's a bit outside the town center, but I had a bike, so that wasn't a problem. It's a pleasant 15 minute walk if you want to keep the pounds off on vacation, or you can take a cheap GRAB car. The nearest quiet beach is maybe a 7 minute walk away, and swimming there felt very safe.
