Little Cat Ba

Friendly staff and authentic cuisine made for a really nice stay at Eco Stay Cai Beo. The views were stunninf.

We booked a boat and kayak trip around the bay through the hotel, with a local fisherman, and got to visit a floating house. It was one of our best experiences in Vietnam. The staff were helpful with everything during our stay in Cat Ba, and breakfast was good, especially the pancakes. The rooms were lovely, and you can rent good bikes for free. Only small downside was that the bathrooms could really use a redo.

We had breakfast and dinner by the little pond in the pergola and really enjoyed both. The hosts are charming and do a great job helping out. You can arrange a transfer, rent a bike or scooter, or book a boat trip here. The rooms are clean and nice, with enough comfort for a night or two. It’s outside the city center, so it feels much quieter and more peaceful. There are 4 cats, 4 kittens and 2 dogs living here. They won’t bother you, though they’d be happy if you pet them. I highly recommend staying here. 🙏

My nephew and I stayed at Little Cat Ba Hotel in August 2018, then spent a night and 2 days exploring Cat Ba on their House Boat. That boat trip topped even a fantastic stay at the hotel, where everyone was welcoming, the rooms were lovely, and the gardens were exquisite. On the boat, you get the whole place to yourselves, along with a fabulous captain and guide to help you kayak, snorkel, and explore the gorgeous scenery. It’s incredibly well equipped and has everything you could need for a relaxing, luxurious time. The food was great, and it felt like good value for money. Book, book now! Highly recommend both the hotel and the houseboat.
