Long Phuong Homestay

I loved the calm here, with insects and frogs making music in the middle of the night. The late afternoon sun suddenly gave the green valley and mountains a strange golden look, and waking up surrounded by nature was a pleasure. I only stayed one night, so I didn't get to see how the place looked at different times through the day and night. If you like somewhere simple, humble, and rustic, close to the landscape, this place is for you. It's at the far end of a small rural village that feels frozen in time, with lots of gentle dogs, and it gets quiet once the day visitors have passed.

The scenery was absolutely breathtaking 💚⛴️, and we had the best time. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. You can arrange your boat trip and taxi through the company, which I highly recommend, though of course it's up to you whether to organize those independently.

It's lovely to hike to the top and get a feel for Vietnamese village life, and you can borrow their bikes for free. The location is very isolated from the big town, so there's not a lot to do and it really does feel like the end of the world. I'd recommend staying for no more than two nights. Dinner was tasty, and the cook knows what they're doing. Prices are a bit higher, but that's how it is when you're in the middle of nowhere. They offer full day tours in small groups for 50 per person, which seemed expensive to me when bigger companies offer nearly the same thing for 30.

The hosts were so kind, and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend! :)
