Thanh Cong Hotel

The view was just construction, with no beach like the listing described, and the hotel felt empty. There seemed to be no guests or staff around. The employees were unfriendly and hard to find. At checkout, nobody was at reception, so we searched every floor and found an employee hiding somewhere in the basement. Earlier, the electricity had been off until I spent more than 20 minutes looking for the receptionist, who had gone off somewhere, before it was turned back on. The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet, so water splashed back, and the washbasin seemed decorative rather than usable. Water ended up all over the floor. Breakfast was also poor and lonely. The food was dried out and old, and the only choice was pho, with nothing to drink. I would never recommend this hotel. I don't know how it got three stars; it deserves one.
