Chen Sea Resort & Spa

The calm, green grounds, flowers, and pristine golden sand beach were the best part, along with the attentive staff. We really got to rest both body and soul. On our last evening, we watched a gorgeous sunset while a violinist played on the lawn near the restaurant. Those little touches make a holiday feel magical. Special thanks to the woman who leads morning yoga. The bungalow-style houses were lovely, with a comfortable king-size bed, quality bathroom amenities, and a luxurious shower with a huge mirror :). Breakfast had plenty of variety and was delicious. The restaurant was good but quite pricey, and we really enjoyed the happy hours. The nearby street is within walking distance and has countless restaurants serving delicious, high-quality food. We also appreciated being able to borrow canoes, paddleboards, and snorkeling masks for free.

We could spend the whole day relaxing on the spotless private beach or by the beautiful pool overlooking the ocean. Our villa was stunning, with direct beach access and sunrise and sunset views every day. The resort is quiet, lovely for families or couples, and the team was helpful and accommodating. There are kayaking and volleyball activities by the beach, though it’s just as nice to do very little. The food was good with plenty of choices, but dinner was expensive compared with other places. Breakfast buffets were delicious. Housekeeping left chocolate and a folk story each evening, a nice touch. The place is very well run and efficient. Nha from the restaurant team was especially friendly and took great care of us. A big thank you from Amy & Raj! Cam on!

We joined the private speed boat tour and a cooking class with Chef Hung during our stay at Chen Sea resort. The boat trip was great, with lovely places to snorkel and fish, and we even tried seawalking. The class was a special experience. You can tell Chef Hung loves cooking. We went with him to the wet market to choose seafood, then cooked and ate in the secret garden. We hadn’t planned to visit it, so seeing all the fresh produce growing there was a lovely surprise. My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we felt completely relaxed. The breakfast bar had a big variety, especially the noodle bar, which I enjoyed. The private beach was clean and quiet, easy to spend a whole afternoon on. Our room had a rustic feel and a lovely patio with an outdoor bathtub.

The rooms are spacious and nice, though they could use a little refreshing to feel up to date for 2025. Everyone on staff was friendly, but their English could be better. Breakfast was good quality and there was enough of it. It’s a very nice hotel with direct access to a private beach, and the island’s main attractions are all within driving distance. I had a great stay and would be happy to return.
