First and last time in this 6th floor Airbnb. If noise bothers you, or you don't want to walk up six floors or deal with unpleasant surprises, I'd avoid it. There weren't many places available in high season when I booked. I would've recommended Lilo’s homestay or Mint tea - #Lee1, both excellent stays in Hanoi, but they were full. The listing promised free coffee and tea, but there was none when I arrived. I had a flu or cold that night and was looking forward to it, so I hadn't bought anything on the way. I asked the host, who said they didn't have any. When I showed a picture of the ad, they just apologized. There was a loud, eerie noise after flushing the toilet. I noticed a water-system tank in the room next to the bathroom, and it made a lot of noise constantly. The internet wasn't working either. Staff said someone would come soon, but after 20 minutes I called again and was told it would take another 30. A woman working for the host came but couldn't fix it, so they called some boys who managed to sort it out. It took 4.5 hours altogether. I got very little sleep, with roosters next door making noise at 5am and construction work going on. Then the warm water stopped working the next day. The owner came to check and it had to be fixed. What a disappointment after giving the place so many chances. Checking that coffee and tea are stocked and that the internet and hot water work seems like basic stuff before renting a room out. There is no elevator, so keep the six flights in mind if you have suitcases. Netflix was listed as included, but the homestay account was logged out, so you need your own account. I think a guest may have used it and forgotten to log out. I have pictures confirming my stay. I cancelled while there, with the owner's agreement, stayed one night, and checked out the next day. The last straw was the lack of warm water.

There’s no elevator, and getting up to the sixth floor is a serious problem if you can’t manage the stairs. They don’t mention this anywhere. The rooms look nothing like the photos and are awful. There isn’t anyone on site either, only phone service. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We arrived exhausted from a long trip, in the rain, and couldn’t get into the property. Our reservation had been confirmed and charged, but the owner said on WhatsApp that they were fully booked, then hung up. No apology or explanation. Stay away.
