Asean Resort - Shiki Onsen & Spa

We booked six rooms, and every one was dirty and below what we expected for the price. The zoo-like attraction was dull, even for the kids. Service was extremely poor, with staff inattentive and unhelpful across the board, except for the men and women in the dining room.

The staff really stood out, always kind, attentive, and ready to help with a smile. The food was tasty and fresh, and it was nicely presented. I also enjoyed the golf course, which is green and spacious, and trying pickleball for the first time. The clean, well-kept zoo is great for families with kids, and the four-season onsen was relaxing in any weather. ASEAN Resort made for a fun and restful stay. I enjoyed my time there and would gladly return.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful, always with a smile, and they made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. We enjoyed the fresh-tasting food and all the choices. There was lots to do too, from the zoo that kids and adults can enjoy to the four-season onsen and golf course. I was surprised by the pickleball courts, which made for a fun, unusual activity. ASEAN Resort works well for a family or a group of friends. I'd happily come back.

The lake was filthy, with plastic floating in it, and the cleaning needs to improve both inside the room and outdoors. It's a green, pleasant resort, but visibly old and in need of serious maintenance and repairs. A lot of things inside and outside are damaged or have been repaired badly.
