The only reasons I added a star were the friendly English-speaking woman, good eateries nearby, and a Big C supermarket close by. The bigger room looked nice, but for us it wasn't worth the price. There are cheaper, better hotels in the old quarter. We booked on Agoda and requested early check-in. When we arrived at 5 a.m., a staff member checked us in without mentioning any extra charge. Later we were billed 30,000vnd per hour, which came to more than a night's accommodation. The location is far from tourist sights. Even with our bikes it took 45 minutes to get around. We also found used condoms in the room, which was unpleasant. The basic room was clean, but tiny, with little beyond the bed and a bit of space, and no windows.
