The manager or owner was quick and attentive whenever I called with a question or needed help. The room was clean, attractive, and new, with quality that was better than I expected for the price. The apartment is down an alley and can be a little hard to find at first. Ask a local or contact the property for the exact location if needed. For this price, I think the location is fair. It’s near Nguyen Xuan Khoat street, where there are lots of restaurants and food services. I also run a restaurant there, so getting around was very convenient.

I had a terrible stay and would think carefully before booking. I paid the full amount through the app, then the homestay asked for an extra 500k deposit without telling me in advance. Even after I paid it, they didn’t send the booking or check-in information, and getting a reply took a long time. The listing said check-in after 3 PM and checkout before 12 PM. When my flight was delayed, I asked about being late and they agreed. But at check-in the staff member was awful. I waited a long time for her to open the door, then she said we couldn’t leave late, not even to collect a delivery. I felt like I was being held captive. They also asked us to check out before 11:30 AM, despite the stated noon checkout, saying they needed to inspect the room. The staff attitude made an already extremely bad experience worse. I’ll never come back.

It’s hard to find a room in Hanoi at such a reasonable price. This one was clean, airy, and spacious, and the staff were enthusiastic.

The only good thing is that booking through the app costs less. The gate has no entry or exit password, and every room uses the same password, so it seems like you could get into other rooms too. Having to return before 10:30 PM is a problem when people rent a room to go out. It feels like being locked in. With a 500 VND deposit, the access card also works as the electricity card. If someone goes downstairs to pick something up, the person upstairs is left in the dark. I don’t understand the thinking behind that.
