Aurora Oriental Hotel

I really enjoyed the spa. It’s small, as you’d expect in the middle of a capital city, but the steam room and sauna were new and clean. The jacuzzi worked well once we asked them to turn on the heat, which took about 10 minutes. I also had a very good massage, and the therapist spoke great English. The bed was big and comfortable, the shower was hot, and the products were good. Breakfast was very good, with nice places to eat nearby as well. The hotel sits in the French quarter just outside the old town, about a one-minute walk in, so there’s a bit of peace when you step outside. All the staff were fantastic and super helpful. I’d stay again.

There was construction going on during our stay, with noise throughout the day, so be aware of that. The location is lively and has shops, restaurants, and just about everything you might need. Staff were lovely and helpful, always ready with a smile, and especially sweet with our baby. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with lots of choices, and they even had gluten-free bread for me. The bed was comfortable, and a baby cot was available.

The hotel was clean, and the staff were pleasant and friendly. It’s a great place to stay in Hanoi, just a couple of minutes from the lake and within walking distance of everything. We didn’t get to use the pool or sauna, but our friends did and said they were really good.

The breakfast buffet was delicious and had plenty of choice. There’s no bar, which was disappointing, but we knew before booking. We found lots of options right outside instead. After a bad experience somewhere else, we wanted some calm and tranquility, and found it at the Aurora Oriental. The room was fabulous, and the hotel was clean and new. There are lots of staff, and they couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommended.
