Crescendo Urban Stay

The price was okay, but the rooms, especially the bathroom, weren't very clean. It's outside the city center, so you'll still need a scooter if you stay here. There was a funeral while we were there, and it was extremely loud, though that wasn't the hotel's fault.

The staff were helpful, and my criticism is about the accommodation itself. I wanted somewhere outside town near West Lake, but the whole stay, from booking to the rooms and surrounding area, disappointed me. The place sits beside a highway and a construction site, so it was noisy all day and night. A bulldozer was working at 2am, and then roosters next door started at 4am. Traffic and noise from neighboring guests came through too. The rooms looked nothing like the photos, and mine was dreary, musty, and smelled of cigarettes. There was no view, and my room had neither a kitchen sponge nor glasses. There's nothing to see or walk to nearby. If you want a shop, you have to take a Grab partway back toward town.

The apartment was extremely noisy day and night. The windows and walls let in traffic from the busy road, including honking, as well as chickens, roosters, dogs, other animals, and ongoing construction. The only towels provided were two bath towels. The listing details and photos on Booking and Google didn't match the actual apartment. We were told we could check in between 12:00 and 13:00, but when we arrived at 12:45 we were told to pay 100.000 Vietnam Dong or cancel the Booking and reserve through them instead, which would mean we couldn't leave this review. Communication was forced in Vietnamese and was hard to understand. Entry is through the garage; if the gate is shut, you have to message a random WhatsApp number and hope for a reply.

The rooms are nice, but the location is very noisy. Communication with reception was difficult, and the cleaning staff could do a much better job.
