Eco Nest Apartment & Hotel

The room was quiet and in a central spot, so we could walk to Train Street. The old air spa shower and bath looked very fancy, though it may have been broken. When we showered, water ran across the bathroom floor to the drain, leaving it wet but not too slippery. The bedroom floor was much more slippery with wet feet, as my wife found when she walked out of the bathroom.

We arrived at 2 a.m., and the woman on duty waited for us and gave us directions. The rooms were clean, with the essential toiletries provided. Really good service!

I’d booked months in advance, but while I was coming from the airport, I got a message saying the booking had been cancelled because the place was full and they couldn’t do anything about it. I had to scramble to find somewhere to stay that night. The worst travel experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

We never got hot water during either of our two days there. I contacted reception several times, but nothing was sorted out. The room also fell short: very slow internet, no kettle, and unusually small towels. The booking was for two nights, with check-in at 2 p.m. We told the property we expected to arrive around 8 p.m., yet at 4 p.m. they messaged that our room was “occupied” and asked us to cancel or move to another property. They gave several confusing, conflicting explanations. Confirmed reservations shouldn’t be handled this way. Between the service and room conditions, it was a very disappointing stay. I can’t recommend the property.
