After busy days on tours, it was lovely to return to a clean, cozy room that felt homey. The staff were all smiles and even sorted our airport transfer perfectly. Galliot Central Hotel is tucked into a charming little alley, but you can walk to everything, including St. Joseph Cathedral and Train Street, just steps away. Eggyolk coffee is right across the street, and Dac Kim Bun Cha is a short walk away. We absolutely loved our four-night stay and would recommend it as a friendly, central base in Hanoi. 🏨☀️🚂

In a city with so many hotel options, I wouldn't recommend this place. The managers lied and didn't keep the room I'd booked, even though I made the reservation more than a week ahead.

I paid less than at most places, but the hotel is showing its age. My room, #901, had thousands of ants and a ceiling stained by water and covered in mold. The front desk guys did the bare minimum.

I left my cap behind and came back seven days later. They'd kept it in their storage room and gave it back to me. I also liked the Old quarters location, close to the lake and lots of good cafes. The rooms are spacious if you choose one with a balcony.

It's easy to get around from here, right in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter and just behind the Cathedral. My room was quite small but very clean and nice, with two exhaust fans, one in the room and one in the washroom. The staff were excellent, friendly, and really helpful.
