Granda Quan Hoa Apartment

The place is showing wear, and I’m not recommending this Granda location now. On my fourth visit in two years, the dirt marks were still on the couch in room 202, where I’d stayed before. The Japanese washlet no longer worked because of an electrical mismatch, and the toothbrush was broken. I also had a date error on my booking and, despite staying several days and being a repeat guest, the hotel didn’t offer a courtesy night. I shouldn’t have had to ask; that seems like basic courtesy. The front desk is functional now, which wasn’t the case two years ago, but my second-floor room was noisy. At midnight I could hear yelling from the bar outside, and in the morning there was general racket from the back alley, including construction, laundry, and other business activity. The area feels sketchier now, with quite a few karaoke and massage places, and other kinds of activity across the road and river. What used to be a 4 out of 5 for me is now a 3 or 2.

The staff were friendly and cooperative, and I was especially impressed by the amazing view from the hotel. It was clean and neat, convenient for getting around Hanoi, and I really enjoyed my stay.

The studio was modern, shiny, and clean, with everything well equipped. The facilities were excellent.

The water doesn’t work, so don’t stay here.
