This place is a scam. We arrived in the evening and were told there was no room available because of a system error. Other reviewers describe being caught by the same trick. They moved us for one night to a nearby hotel they called “the same value,” but it clearly wasn’t. The place was dirty, smelled bad, had trash around, and was full of mold. They told us our original room would be ready at 10 the next day. But when we went to reception, the staff and manager wouldn’t let us in and canceled our booking. We had to book another room for our time in Hanoi. Check the review for “Thien Phu Garden Hostel.” It backs up what I’m saying. They just moved the pin on Google Maps.

They seem to be using different Google addresses for what looks like the same place, so I’m posting this review for both. Hotel garden. Big no. We left right away because I care about my health. Even in the five minutes we were in the room, we both felt dizzy and got a terrible headache. The room was visibly moldy, had no light except in the bathroom, and smelled awful as soon as we walked in. Maybe the lack of lighting was to hide the water damage on the walls. We asked to switch rooms, but the manager said there weren’t any others. He knows about the condition of these rooms, so I don’t understand why they rent them out. Maybe they’re counting on shy guests to stay quiet. We were lucky to find somewhere else at the last minute on a Saturday holiday night. Don’t waste your time, money, or health here.
