The room itself was fine, though there were exposed wires in the bathroom. The building carried sound, and I woke up several times despite having a fan on. After my review, management contacted me, offered a refund for the amount taken, and said they’d look into it and speak with the staff. I’ve changed my rating from one star to three. I’d arrived exhausted after a six-hour bus ride and paid the man at reception, asking if I’d given him enough because the large bills can be confusing. He said it covered the room and an airport taxi. He didn’t return any change, and later I realized I’d paid too much and was owed some. I was too tired to argue, especially since it was probably around $10. It was the honesty that bothered me. In the morning, the “airport taxi” turned out to be his personal car, which felt a bit odd. This was the only time I was short-changed in Vietnam.

The receptionist was super kind and accommodating, and made everything pleasant and convenient. The location is quite close to the airport, which makes the trip less of a hassle. I’ll definitely recommend this place to friends staying in Hanoi.

I left some personal belongings behind, and the receptionist went out of his way to get them back to me at the airport with a trusted driver. He was very attentive and helped me in the best way. I’d had a great stay in the private room too, with comfortable beds and everything I needed.

The mattress was soft, and I managed to sleep for a few hours because I was exhausted from traveling and had an early departure. The two men I met were kind, check-in and checkout were easy despite my flight arriving after midnight, and someone carried my suitcase upstairs. There are only stairs. I appreciate their generosity, and I think a thorough clean and some updating could make this a much nicer stay. The room looked clean at first, with a shiny floor, neatly made bed, and dust-free surfaces. The bathroom corners and grout had a lot of grime and black buildup. Water stains, and what looked like mold, marked the foam drop ceiling; the vent fan was caked in dust and grime. There were unprotected exposed wires in the wet bathroom near the shower. I was glad I’d brought my own sheets, because the bed had what looked like an old blood stain. There was no window, the walls were thin, and noise echoed loudly through the hall. I was only there a few hours, which I was glad about.
