Hanoi Ben's Apartment and Hotel

The owners are very keen to sell their services, even though they don't seem to get many repeat customers. They run several guesthouses tucked at the backs of narrow alleys, and the rooms are dim and full of ants. I introduced customers to them, but they didn't keep their promises, so I won't refer anyone else.

The staff were easy to reach and always ready to answer questions. They were especially helpful with my parents, who travelled separately: they arranged airport taxis and made sure my parents reached the apartment safely, then left on time for the airport at checkout. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Ben's apartment is in a fairly quiet area that's easy to explore on foot. The city centre is walkable, and there are plenty of street food stalls, cafes, and restaurants nearby. The room had what we needed, including comfortable beds, air conditioning, WiFi, hot water, a well-equipped bathroom, and a small kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay, and I'd highly recommend it for families or groups.

The owners were incredible people. They supported us through a very stressful situation and went beyond what they were responsible for. The area felt safe and was close to the centre, and the building has an elevator. Our room was clean and attractive, with comfortable beds, a couch, two coffee tables, a kitchenette, a large bathroom, and a balcony furnished with chairs and a table. It was great value for the price. I'd recommend staying here.

It was really hard to find, but the shower was the best I've used in Vietnam during the past month. The room was clean, and the covers and pillows were so comfortable. Worth every penny.
