Hanoi Morning Hotel

The location near the lake was the one good thing, but it doesn't make up for the price. The hotel is significantly overpriced for its condition and quality. We stayed one night in March 2026, and the included breakfast left us with horrific food poisoning, which was extremely concerning. The room was unacceptably dirty and poorly maintained. The kettle was visibly grimy, the toilet seat was so nasty we couldn't sit on it comfortably, and there was black mold in the shower. The bathroom didn't feel sanitary, and the carpet was dingy. The photos don't match the property's current condition. The top-floor breakfast area looked nothing like the pictures, and the food on offer was nowhere close to what was advertised. If we hadn't checked in at 11 p.m. exhausted after a travel day, we would have moved to another hotel.

The view from the room was so relaxing, and the hotel is conveniently close to major attractions. Staff were professional, friendly, and attentive. A truly memorable stay, highly recommended for everyone to try!

The administrators were so helpful that a weary traveler could feel like family instead of a stranger. They quickly and cheerfully sorted out little things like calling a car, as well as harder questions about reservations and finding my way around the busy city. The rooms have a pleasingly simple style, neither flashy nor bare, and felt comfortable. Morning light came through the curtains and made it feel like the city's sights were waiting just outside. With a short walk, I could reach Hanoi's lively streets, food, and historic sights. I can say with confidence that Hotel Morning Hanoi is a welcoming place to stay, with helpful staff, a pleasant feel, and reliable service. Anyone looking for a place to rest in this vibrant city will find a warm welcome here.

We came back to this hotel four times after our trips around Vietnam, and tried several different rooms. Each one matched its description. The rooftop restaurant serves a simple breakfast, with a stunning view over the lake. Juli at reception felt more like a friend than a staff member, and her English was great. For over two weeks of travel around Northern Vietnam, she was available around the clock to help with all our travel needs. She arranged our trips very well and carried them out to a T. Even when things went a little pear-shaped through no fault of hers, she stayed available to sort things out after her workday ended. We'll definitely stay here again on a future Hanoi trip. AAA+++++
