Hanoi Rose Flower Hotel

The location was the only good thing about this stay. The rooms were old and poorly maintained, with leaking, clogged basins and stained sheets. For what we paid, it wasn’t worth it at all. We paid a five-star price and got extremely rude treatment. The place felt shady, though the owner, staff, or person sitting at reception seemed even shadier. We only stayed because we were already in Hanoi with heavy bags, everything was booked up for the evening of December 31, and we had few options. The staff were rude and wouldn’t even help us get our luggage to the room. We asked about renting a bike and agreed on a price, but when we came downstairs to leave, the person demanded twice as much, saying that was the price now and we could take it or leave it. After the midnight celebration on the 31st, the front door was locked when we returned, and getting inside came with more rudeness. The next day, we asked to leave our bags near reception for half an hour while we ate. He refused and started saying something in his language. I couldn’t make out the exact words, but it clearly wasn’t friendly. Every interaction with the owner or staff was frustrating and rude. My first day of 2024 was spoiled by them. Don’t check in here.

Mr.Michael was patient and considerate with our family, especially when arranging a trip that would work for the elders. He booked all the tours carefully and suggested what suited us, taking the weather and places to eat into account. He also explained the do’s and don’ts. Given the price, we couldn’t have asked for more. He really looked after us and made sure everything was worthwhile.

I stayed here for a few nights in hanoi. Good hotel and good manager.
