We had a great stay here. The owner got in touch right after we booked the apartment and explained everything clearly. The room had a little kitchen with plenty of dishes and appliances that worked, which we especially appreciated. Wi-Fi was fast and hot water was always available. It’s a quiet spot, with a small local market, pharmacy, and little shops nearby. The bus station is about a 15-minute drive away.

I never got to stay in the room I booked. I was sent to several different addresses and got no help. I booked through Booking.com for October 11, 2025, at 17/61 Bang Liet. Afterward, the establishment messaged me on Zalo, saying that address was being renovated and asking me to move to another one and pay a deposit. I agreed. At 14/30/686 Kim Giang, they said they were fully booked and sent me to a third address, 47/570 Kim Giang. There, staff offered a room just vacated by another guest. It hadn’t been cleaned, and it didn’t have the en-suite bathroom promised in the listing. I refused and tried contacting the owner and manager. Nobody accepted responsibility or offered an apology. I waited more than 15 minutes without a response. They advertised one location but sent guests to several addresses, took deposits and passed responsibility around, and didn’t hold the room as promised on the app. The way they handled it was unprofessional, with no solution or apology. It also raised signs of fraud and wasted my time. The name is Heart Homestay, but sadly they don’t work from the heart.

There was a bad smell in the kitchen, with empty water bottles scattered under the counter and a sponge covered in black mold. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned either: the toilet and sink were dirty, there weren’t enough towels for two people, and the toilet brush was hanging from a coat rack. The room was uncleaned, and the bedding smelled musty and hadn’t been changed. A very poor homestay experience.

The price was quite low compared with the usual rate, and the rooms were fairly clean, nicely decorated, and had the personal amenities we needed. We stayed for two nights as a family and ended up having a pretty good visit. We’d seen some earlier reviews and didn’t expect much, so we were glad we had the owner’s Zalo number in the introduction. We contacted them ourselves to arrange a room that suited us. There was a smell by the bathroom drain, and taxis can’t enter the building. We’d be happy to visit again.
