Hotel De Rond Hanoi

The balcony was a real plus, and the price felt like good value. I stayed with my husband and our one-year-old. Staff were very friendly, and both the room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was the downside: not much to choose from, and there were no high chairs for babies.

The room felt quite small for a longer visit, but otherwise we had a very pleasant stay at De Rond Hotel. The location is great, tucked away from the bustle while still only about a ten-minute walk to the main attractions. Staff were extremely kind and helpful, and we made use of the laundry service, which is handy on a long trip. We'd happily return when we get the chance and recommend the hotel.

I stayed from 10-13 April and left very disappointed. There was visible mould on the curtains beside the bed, a clear health and safety concern, especially since I was already feeling unwell. That shouldn't be overlooked in a room being sold to guests. When I raised it, the manager agreed to move me, but kept calling the room to ask when I would leave so it could be cleaned and resold. It made me uncomfortable, as it seemed the priority was turning the room over instead of properly dealing with the problem. The hotel only offered a refund for the remaining nights, even though the mould had been there throughout my stay. I don't think guests should be charged for a room in an unsuitable condition. The handling of a legitimate concern was very disappointing, and I wouldn't stay here again.

Great value at $80CAD, wow, and close to everything. Breakfast was lovely, and the laundry service was great. The bed was comfy and the shower worked well. It wasn't too noisy, IMO, and they gave us watermelon juice at check-in. Breakfast was great too, with different egg dishes and pho available.
