The manager arranged a ride for me and even gave me a simple map of the route. The hotel also does laundry for about $1 per kilo. It’s roughly a 10-15 minute walk to the city center, or a taxi costs around $4-5. Nights are a little dark around here, though there’s a great spot for Vietnamese street food down the road. I ate there and really liked it. The rooms are a good size, the service is great, and the air conditioning gets the room nice and cold. Hola hotel gave me a lot for the price.

The beds were decent and the room was okay, and the staff were friendly. But they weren’t very fluent in English, and when I asked for help they often seemed more focused on their phones. The bathroom was dirty and felt unhygienic, as if it hadn’t been cleaned. The sink leaked so badly that using it flooded the bathroom. It was below an okay stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

I had a nice room, but the sink wouldn’t drain and leaked underneath. The kitchen was really dirty, and the staff were loud at night. It may have been nice when it was new, but it needs a proper tidy-up. The staff’s English isn’t great either. I’ll pick a nice hostel next time.

The location is good for the price, and there’s wonderful Pho nearby. The room itself looks nice, but it gets humid because there’s no ventilation unless you open the door. Maybe they forgot to wash the cups and things like that.

The tour was very reasonably priced, cheaper than at a tour shop, and the clerk was kind and helpful. My room was clean and spacious. I stayed for three days. It’s a long way from downtown and hard to walk there, but I think this is the best choice in Hanoi.
