Honeymoon Hotel 2

The customer service was horrendous. When I called about the drilling, they said they couldn’t do anything, even though it went from 8 a.m. until late at night inside the hotel. The walls are so thin you hear everything. I just needed somewhere to rest while in Hanoi, and that was impossible. The room was dirty too, with hairs all over the bed and bathroom, and the shower drain didn’t work, leaving what looked like a pool after every shower. The TV didn’t work either. They use the reception area as their living room. I bet the good reviews are from their friends to push up the rating.

The location isn’t bad, but this place feels old, and it wasn’t as nice as other hotels at a similar price. The room was a bit dirty, especially the sink, which could use a more thorough cleaning. You can feel the pilling on the blanket and the hard springs in the bed. There’s no soundproofing, so it’s easy to hear the neighbors. The owner should probably replace some of the old things to make the stay more comfortable for guests.

The room was dirty. Nobody explained the early check-in charge until after I paid, when I was told I had to pay extra for two hours. That would have been fine if they’d told me in advance.

The advertised pictures look nice, but they don’t match the place. The entrance looks like a parking garage, and there isn’t much in the area for travelers. We left after two nights because, for us as Western travelers, there was just nothing there compared with the Old Quarter.
