The location is right in the center, and the bathrooms and hostel are clean. Beds are comfortable, with nice-smelling sheets and curtains that give you some privacy. Breakfast has plenty to choose from, both sweet and savory, plus fruit, coffee, and tea. There’s a rooftop bar where you can eat breakfast and look out over the city. You can rent a towel, and laundry is cheap and good. The lockers are under the beds, though they’re a bit small and need a longer lock. There are only a few shared spaces, so it doesn’t feel especially communal, but I didn’t mind that. I had one issue caused by a misunderstanding: a man was checked into our all-women room, which costs more than the mixed dorms. When we raised it, staff asked whether we wanted to move instead of quickly explaining the mix-up and arranging another room for him. They did ask him to move eventually, but only late at night, which was inconvenient for him. Apart from that, it was an OK hostel and I’d recommend it.

I stayed five nights in a four-bed dorm and would come back. It was the best value I found among the 10-plus hotels I’ve stayed in around Vietnam. The price and location were great, the service was good, and the lobby, room, and bathrooms were clean. The place still feels pretty new, which is rare here. Most things you need are just a few minutes’ walk away. Bring a towel, or buy one cheaply at a shop nearby, since they don’t provide them. You’ll also need your own locker lock, or can pick one up close by. There’s no hairdryer in the bathrooms, but you can ask downstairs. WiFi was spotty at times. They take a 100,000 VND deposit at check-in, about $5 USD. The room has AC and an exhaust fan, so it doesn’t get smelly, though both make some noise when you’re trying to sleep. Earplugs might help.

I met loads of friendly travelers here, and the staff were so helpful with planning tours and the rest of my trip. It’s a super hostel, clean and stylish. Do the 10am Hanoi Street tour if you can, they take you to great spots that aren’t in the guidebook. Num, Clover & Nu, thanks for making the trip so memorable 👌

The room was so cramped it was hard to get around, and the light above our bed was broken. The shower handle was broken too. When we told the staff, they didn’t seem very helpful. The place was clean otherwise, and the bed was comfortable, but of all the places my boyfriend and I stayed in Hanoi, this wasn’t our favorite.

There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and the hostel is very close to the city center. The rooms are on the small side but comfortable. Breakfast was less pleasant: I ordered an omelette, but they could only make scrambled eggs, and I still don’t know why. The terrace is the only place to eat, and it was pretty cold that day.
