The staff made the whole trip special. Everyone was welcoming and helpful, and Jamie went out of her way to arrange our Vietnam trip, including tours, activities, and flights between different parts of the country. She made it all feel easy and stress-free. The hotel is right in the city centre, close to everything, with clean, comfortable, well-kept rooms. There’s also a beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant with amazing city views. We had such an amazing stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi.

We picked Kecho Legacy for its location and the look of the photos, and they turned out to be accurate. The accommodations are superb. Anna was especially helpful and friendly, seeming to be everywhere at once, from reception to the restaurant, even during breakfast. The staff gave excellent service, and a “lady in white” seemed to run things and clear plates. The free breakfast was wonderful, though the chef needs to learn that “well done” or “over-hard” eggs aren’t the same as over-easy. Our unique room had a 270-degree view, a separate shower and bathtub, and a view from the tub. We had to keep the curtains shut much of the time to block the heat, and the air conditioning took a while to get going, but once it did, the room was cool. Guests get a discount at the hotel spa, and the foot massage was wonderful.

The rooftop has an incredible view over the city, and it was pleasant to use the spa too. We booked one night and found the staff cheerful, friendly, and helpful. One room was humid and had mold, but the staff apologized and upgraded it for us. The hotel is well placed for walking around Hanoi’s old quarter. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the center of Hanoi is closed to traffic for pedestrians, which makes exploring on foot more enjoyable. It was a very pleasant stay, and I recommend booking on one of those days.

Coming back to Kecho Legacy for a second visit felt like an easy choice after my first stay on a group trip in 2024. Anna, Jamie, and Rosie were such a joy to get to know, and all the staff are friendly, personable, and make you feel at home. Their hospitality made the time especially memorable. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable, and the hotel has a beautifully put-together design. Right in the heart of Old Quarter, it’s surrounded by things to see and do. Breakfast was some of the best food I’ve ever had, so good I came back for it on my last day even though I was staying elsewhere. The skybar has stunning views and a great neon-lit atmosphere. I’ll definitely return to Kecho :)

The room was clean and comfortable, though a little warm until we added another fan. The buffet was decent, and definitely better than the food on our cruise. The property has distinctive Vietnamese heritage décor, and the staff were wonderful. Anna was especially impressive, speaking more than four languages. Set in the Old Quarter near the lake, it made it easy to reach food, spas, the night market, and all kinds of places to explore. We had a memorable stay and would definitely come back.
