L’HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi

We felt lucky to find this sweet hotel for our first visit to Hanoi. Our family of five stayed three nights, and the rooms were comfortable, the location ideal, and the service outstanding. Breakfast had a great mix of Western and local specialties, the spa on the top floor was nice, and the WiFi was strong. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. We’d definitely come back.

The hotel was spotless throughout, and the service was even better than I expected. From reception to the restaurant and rooftop terrace, every person I met was warm, genuine, professional, and attentive. The trainees were lovely too, including Anh, if I remember correctly. I felt welcome and cared for from the start, and the whole team went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and memorable. It honestly couldn’t have been better. Thanks to everyone at Hotel Du Lac in Hanoi. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi.

After more than 30 hours of travel, I had to find a new hotel in just minutes. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and this place felt like a sanctuary. My room was very quiet and had no window, which is normal here, but that actually helped when jet lag had me needing peace from the outside. It’s conveniently close to everything in Hanoi’s Old Town, and the view from the top-floor bar was lovely. My friend had a balcony and loved it. I couldn’t be happier or more grateful, and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area. 10/10.

We’d booked a really bad hotel, so we searched online for somewhere else in Hanoi and found L’Hotel du Lac Hanoi. Chloe welcomed us, showed us the amenities, and was very accommodating. We didn’t regret switching, everyone was so friendly. The breakfast was good, with a different spread each day, and the coffee was heaven sent. They could even make it to go. Danielle was very patient when helping us, and Jolie made sure we had a memorable stay. The rooftop bar staff were friendly too.
