La Casa Hanoi Hotel

It was my first time in Vietnam, and we spent two days here. The room was kept neat and clean, and for the price the food, location, and rooftop pool with jacuzzi were all just right. The Indian dishes at breakfast were a little average, though the other choices were great. Communication was the hardest part since it was tough to explain what we needed. Still, we felt the stay was worth every penny.

The biggest issue was the noise. We could hear the street loudly, and the walls did little to block the baby crying in the next room. We first asked for a room away from the street but were too tired to move, then eventually changed rooms and slept much better. Some photos show rooms that look nicer than ours, so there may be better options. For a little more money, you could stay at a downtown Sheraton, or the JW Marriott, which is a $5 Grab ride from downtown. If you book here, arrange the room in advance and try to secure a newer one on a higher floor. Without that guarantee, I wouldn't stay.

I spent more than six weeks in an apartment room here. Getting around was easy from this location, and the staff were helpful throughout. A special thanks to the housekeeping team for looking after us so well.

I was here as part of a guided trip around Vietnam, and the hotel was comfortable. Breakfast had plenty to eat, though getting a beer wasn't easy. They left a cake in our room for my husband's birthday, which was a really thoughtful gesture.
