Maison D'Hanoi Hotel

The rooms are simple rather than fancy, but the bed was comfortable and everything was clean and in working order. The staff were friendly, and the price felt like good value. The hotel is also really well placed, with pretty much everything in the Old Quarter within walking distance. I’d recommend it and would stay again in Hanoi.

I found a cockroach in my room, and the walls barely blocked any sound. I could hear people talking next door. The location is great, with Train Street just around the corner and the main city sights within walking distance. Staff were polite and nice.

We had such a good time here that, after our first four nights, my husband and I returned when we got back to Hanoi from Sapa. The Old Quarter location is great, right by train street. Staff were friendly and took good care of us. They also arranged day trips to Ninh Binh and Halong Bay, both good value and really enjoyable. Thanks to everyone for making our stay in central Hanoi so lovely.

The first night, on the third floor, was fine and the room was clean. The second night I was moved to the seventh floor, where the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. The sheets and blankets were old and dusty. There weren't any blankets at first, so I asked reception for some. The receptionist seemed reluctant and asked if I was cold, but I did get blankets in the end. I couldn't sleep that second night.
