May De Ville Trendy Hotel & Spa

What made us feel comfortable and welcome was the staff’s attitude. They were friendly, helpful, and hospitable, and even though we were late for checkout and our arranged car, they stayed polite and didn’t charge a late checkout fee. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the location was good. I researched a lot of hotels before choosing this one, and I can say it was worth it. Five out of five, and I’m definitely coming back next year.

For all six days, Sunny made breakfast a pleasure. She greeted us warmly and helped with anything we asked for from the buffet. Her friendly personality really rubbed off on us.

The view from the rooftop was incredible and the best part of the visit. The doorman was also kind and welcoming, so we got a great first impression. Upstairs, though, service was disappointing. Staff seemed inattentive, and we had to go to the bar ourselves for the menu and to order while the bartender looked bored. We also had to order at the counter. When the food arrived, it was left on a tray without a word. The food itself was delicious, but the cocktails let us down. The atmosphere and view were great, but the poor service and weak drinks really affected the experience.

The spa was a real highlight for me. After long days on foot, the massages felt professional and restorative, and didn’t seem rushed. It was great having that on site and being able to keep our schedule flexible. The staff were consistently friendly and quick to help with things like rides, directions, timing, laundry, and recommendations, which made getting around Hanoi easier. May De Ville Corner Hotel is comfortable and well placed for exploring: close to the Old Quarter, food, and sights, with plenty within walking distance and less need to sit in traffic. It was a good place to return to after the city’s bustle. The hotel isn’t flashy, but it does the important things well, and we enjoyed our stay. I’d consider it again.
