Sun Clover Boutique Hotel

I booked a room, got an email saying the booking had failed, and went ahead and reserved somewhere else. Then, a day later, this hotel messaged to ask when I was checking in, because the booking had apparently gone through after all. Now they won't answer my messages and I've lost my money. Unprofessional and unacceptable.

We checked in around midnight and had nowhere else to go that night, but left at 8 in the morning and forfeited three nights' rent. There was mold in the bathroom and on the A/C blowing down over the bed, a leaking ceiling, and blood on the curtain. After all our travel and stays in hotels and VRBOs, I've never felt I had to warn people away from somewhere this strongly. Renters, beware.

I spent almost two weeks here on a pleasant, quiet street that doesn't feel touristy. The location is perfect for me, and the staff are kind. Lan at reception is always ready to help. There's laundry service and air conditioning, and for the price it's a very nice option. I'd definitely recommend it.

I booked through Agoda because the local rate tends to be higher. The room I had was a little small and didn't get much daylight, though I'm sure there are better rooms. The location is very convenient, and Lan at reception speaks excellent English. She's professional and kind. Across the street is a bún chả and nem rán place that's good for breakfast, lunch, or brunch, highly recommend trying it. I also liked Café Duy Tri nearby for its range of coffee and some really nice yogurt and fruit combinations.
