Thien Phu Garden Hotel

Like some other reviewers here, we didn’t actually stay, so I can’t speak to the hotel’s standards. We booked the day before arriving, then took an overnight bus without signal. Once we had service the next day, we saw messages saying they were cancelling because we hadn’t replied. We couldn’t respond while traveling, but booking the day before should surely have been enough confirmation. They said the room was no longer available. Maybe their booking system has issues that need fixing.

Hotel garden was a big no for us. The room was visibly moldy, smelled awful as soon as we walked in, and had no light except in the bathroom. Maybe that was to hide the water damage on the walls. Within five minutes, we both felt dizzy and had terrible headaches, so we left right away. We asked to switch rooms, but were told there wasn’t another one. The manager knows about the condition, so I don’t understand why they rent out those rooms. Maybe they’re counting on guests being too shy to speak up. We were lucky to find somewhere at the last minute on a holiday Saturday night. Don’t waste your time, money, or health here.

DON’T GO!!! This is the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever been to. The service was shitty, and the workers were the most disgusting people ever.

Really lovely staff and an incredible garden. The rooms are spacious, the bed is comfy, and the shower gets hot with great pressure. The wifi was amazingly fast, the best I’ve had in nine months of traveling, which matters because I teach online. Great value for the money. I’d highly recommend it.
