Le Petit Princess Hotel & Spa

Ruby, the hotel manager, kindly upgraded our booking from a standard room to a superior one. The breakfast was the best I've had on my trips in Vietnam. The staff were attentive and very friendly, which made the stay pleasant. The location was ideal, close to shopping streets, St. Joseph's Church, and Ngoc Son Temple.

Ms. Vivian was so caring and professional, and made sure we wouldn't get lost in a city we didn't know. Henry was also very helpful and dedicated. From the moment we arrived until checkout, the staff took such careful care of us and made the stay magnificent. I can't remember the last time we got that much attention, and I'm deeply grateful. If we visit Hanoi again, we'll definitely stay here.

The rooms were dirty and old, and felt like prison cells. I booked because it was advertised as a 5-star hotel, but this felt more like a 2-star place, if that. There were flies all over the breakfast food, and breakfast was in another hotel about a three-minute walk away. There was no WiFi in the rooms. I raised it with the women at the front desk, who said they'd tell IT support, but heard the same thing all three days I stayed. There was no hot water or water pressure, roaches in the rooms, and water leaked from the shower tub, creating a tripping hazard. When I told the staff about these problems, they brushed them off and said it was normal.
