The owner was friendly and checked in on how we were doing during the stay. Our room was a good size, clean and had good A/C, and there isn't much else to highlight or complain about. Check-in was remote, which made the process feel a bit cold. It's close to a party street, so you may hear music and people at night. There's no elevator either. A good spot for low-budget travellers who want to stay in the heart of Saigon.

Mr Alvin, the owner, is very helpful and can assist with any activities you need. The hotel is well placed for getting around the whole city. Bui Ven street is right next door, but once you're in your room it's peaceful. The rooms were clean and smelled nice, with good AC and a bathroom. Shower essentials and two towels were included, all at a very good price. If you want a nice, quiet place in the middle of everything, I recommend this hotel a thousand times.

We stayed four nights from 16th March 2026, travelling as a couple. We booked a Deluxe Double on Booking.com, though I'd use that label loosely. It's a perfectly fine room, just don't expect anything fancy. The room was on the small side but comfortable for a few nights, and everything was clean. The bedding and linen were fine. There's no window, which I worried about at first, but it meant we heard absolutely nothing from the busy streets outside. The AC worked well, and there was a fan too. It had a bedside lamp, sockets near the mirror and a hairdryer. Wi-Fi was fast. The bathroom had good water pressure and reliable hot water, with shampoo, body wash and towels provided. The location is hard to beat, right by Bui Vien Walking Street, with restaurants, attractions and public transport close by. We never walked more than 30 minutes to get anywhere, and it was easy to find when we arrived by taxi. Despite the lively area, we always felt safe; the hotel was either staffed or secured with keypad entry. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. We didn't meet Mr Alvin at check-in, but he'd sent clear instructions beforehand and responded quickly to messages. He was friendly and helpful throughout. Great value, and I'd stay again or recommend it to budget travellers. Just note there's a 4% surcharge for card payments, which is pretty standard in Vietnam.

The stairs are steep and there's no elevator, and I had to WhatsApp the manager to check in. It took about five minutes to get a reply, but it wasn't a big deal.
