We confirmed our reservation as we were leaving the airport, but when we got there, we waited an hour for someone to pick us up and nobody came. Then a Booking notice said the reservation was canceled, and they claimed they couldn't find it even though they'd confirmed it earlier. There were several other groups outside the building with the same problem. This is a scam!

This felt like a scam. Just after leaving the airport, we confirmed our reservation. But at the property, we waited more than an hour for our pickup and nobody showed. Booking later notified us that the reservation had been canceled, and the property said they couldn't find it, despite having confirmed it before. Several other groups outside were dealing with the same thing.

Never again... The listing said this was in the 1st district, but it wasn't. The landlord confirmed our Booking.com reservation after we booked, then the day before we were due to arrive said our credit card couldn't be accepted. We tried another card, but they refused that one too, even though we'd used our cards all over Vietnam. We were in a taxi with our two small children, nearing the building in the evening, when they messaged to say they had canceled our booking. They wouldn't explain or help at all. The way the owner handled it was unacceptable, and I also blame Booking.com, which is responsible in some way for the accommodations listed on its system. We suspect the owner was trying to raise the apartment price this way, since when we checked the Booking.com site again, prices were increasing as more people inquired. We definitely don't recommend this place.

We booked a place here for eight people and a one-year-old, but it was canceled at the last minute. They said the card on Booking was invalid, which wasn't true, and we'd also agreed to pay in cash anyway. This happened on April 30, a national holiday in Vietnam, and we ended up stuck with a one-year-old in 36 Celsius heat.

My stay was a very bad experience. The apartment I was given was much smaller and less appealing than the Booking.com photos, and it didn’t match them at all. They asked for cash when I arrived, then cancelled my booking and offered a different place outside Booking.com. I also saw very good reviews on the site that didn’t seem genuine. There are many apartments like this in the RiverGate building, not just this one, so I wouldn’t book there.
